Emma Stone’s character is kind of who I wish I’d been in high school. My rebellious, intelligent, feminist bad girl attitude was the fizzle to her bang, I think. Black nailpolish and feminist-lite interpretations of Hamlet, Frankenstein, and most outrageously, Beowulf, were admittedly just annoying. Hindsight is 20/20, friends.
