  1. I saw Gnomeo & Juliet with my parents on Valentine’s Day, which is, you know, great. I love gnomes, children’s movies, attempts to make children appreciate Shakespeare, and kitsch in all forms, so this was pretty much a sure-fire hit for me. Pudgy little gnomes with limited ranges of motion toddle around their over-the-top, visually arresting backyards to Elton John’s edited musical catalog. (Elton John is also a producer, okay??) The movie ends just before the whimsical, crowded world of the gnomes becomes annoying and over-stimulating and the quirky cast of supporting lawn ornaments stops being endearing.
Even if these things do not sound like the makings of the best night of your month, I urge you to visit their interactive website and gnome yourself.
